Before Buying or installing this extension, kindly contact CEQUENS in order to create an account to be able to use this extension, as all this extension uses CEQUENS services to send SMS messages.
If you are not a CEQUENS user, kindly contact the following email in order to be able to create an account : email@example.com
After purchasing and installing the extension, expand the Web Tabs section and then navigate to CEQUENS SMS Web Tab.
Once there, kindly start filling your CEQUENS account information as shown in the Image below.
This information must be filled, otherwise you won't be able to use the extension properly.
Another thing that you will notice is the creation of two new modules : SMS History and SMS Templates.
These modules are used by the extension so don't worry about them for now.
To send an SMS to a customer directly, simply head to the desired customer, once you are in the customer's detailed view, you will notice an icon to the right side of the screen as shown below:
If you can't find the button, click on the arrow beside the button that will be here, and you will be able to select the "Send SMS" button from the dropdown menu.
Note: for the extension to be able to send SMS to the desired person, kindly make sure that the "Mobile" filed contains the recipient number.
On clicking the button a widget will popup with the following content:
Account Credit : Which shows the remaining balance in your account.
Message Type : To choose whether you will send a custom message or a template message
Message Content : The actual content of the message that will be sent
Message Length: The number of characters in the message content
Message Count: The number of messages that will be consumed when sending this message
Kindly note that some fields change depending on the Message Type selected, the above image shows the Custom message.
On changing the Message Type to Template, the Message Template field appears, which will be used to select the desired template.
Also note that the Message Content field is now disabled as it is now only used to show the template content.
Refer to image 4 (below).
After specifying the desired message content, press "Send" and the message should be sent if there are no issues, otherwise an error message will appear below the "Send" button.
Once the Message has been sent successfully, a record will be inserted into the SMS History module. This record could be viewed from the SMS History module or from the related list linked to the Customer that was the target of this SMS message.
To be able to send SMS Templates, first we must create an SMS Template.
Head to the SMS Templates module and create a new template. The following fields need to be filled:
SMS Template Name: Specify the name of the template
Content: Message content of the template
Kindly refer to image 7 below:
Once the template is created, it can be viewed in the SMS Templates module (Refer to Image 8) and can be edited at any time.
To send an SMS message using a template, simply select the Customer you want to send the SMS to and press the icon on the icon on the right side of the screen as explained above.
Once the widget is loaded, change the "Message Type" value to "Template", then select the template of your choice (Refer to Image 9), once you are satisfied with the message content, simply click the "Send" button.
The extension provides 3 types of predefined SMS messages that can be instantly sent with a click of a button:
3) Payment Received
On clicking the button highlighted in the modules as shown in the images above, an SMS message shall be instantly sent to the customer.
The message body can be adjusted in the CEQUENS SMS Web Tab, SMS Notifications section.
All the features specified above also apply here, meaning that each message sent will have a record created for it in the SMS History module that is linked to the proper lead/contact, we can also choose whether to send custom SMS messages or Template messages.
Once you reach the designated page (refer to image 13), you can see that the page has 3 sections for Invoice, Estimate and Payment Confirmation Notifications.
Invoice Notification: SMS body for the "Send SMS" action button in the invoices module
Estimate Notification: SMS body for the "Send SMS" action button in the estimates module
Payment Confirmation Notification: SMS body for the "Send SMS" action button in the payments received module.
In the Payments Confirmation Notification section, we can see a toggle for Automatic Notification, if this is enabled, the system shall automatically send an SMS to the designated customer whenever a payment received is added.
Another thing to note, is the ability to use place holders in these Notifications bodies, kindly find their mapping in the table below
Customer First Name
Customer Last Name
Customer Full Name
Total of the Estimate
Total of the Invoice
Value of the Payment
Formatted value of the payment
Note: More placeholders shall be added later.
